Tealights can be made from many types of waxes including paraffin, palm, and soy. The type of wax used determines how long the tealight will last.

Electric Tealights
A more modern alternative to a flame-based tea light, electric tealights use no flame and are much safer to handle. They are often incorporated into freestanding lace structures or placed in decorative candle holders that cannot accommodate a large flame-based tealight.
